WYTHEVILLE, Virginia, May 23, 2022 – T Diamond Bar, LLC has been awarded a contract as the General Contractor to construct a Nitrile Butadiene Rubber plant in Southwestern Virginia. This award follows a previous contract for earthwork at the site, which began in late January. Garry Claflin, Vice President of Construction stated, “The award of this project has been a great team effort. It is the largest industrial contract for T Diamond Bar to date, and to execute it properly will be a full team effort.” Mobilization and construction at the site commenced in early May and will continue throughout the year.
The facility, located near Wytheville, is expected to bring a number of permanent manufacturing jobs to the area when completed. As the GC on the facility build, T Diamond Bar will self-perform all site preparation work, cast in place concrete, pre-engineered metal building erection, and mechanical piping for the project. “We are thankful to M&H Engineering and Blue Star NBR to choose us as their partner to execute on this project. It will not be without challenges, but the project has the right teams in place to overcome these challenges and make it a great venture for everyone,” said Claflin.
